Plus VDS now in Frankfurt

Our Plus VDS line is now available in Frankfurt. Built on the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D with DDR5 memory and NVMe storage, it was one of the most requested products in Amsterdam, and now you can deploy it closer to central and eastern Europe. Same plans, same panel, a shorter path to your players and users.

What makes Plus VDS different

A VDS gives you dedicated CPU cores rather than shared ones. That means steady performance even when other customers on the same host are busy. The Plus line adds hardware chosen specifically for latency sensitive workloads:

• Ryzen 9 7950X3D with a large 3D V-Cache, which shines in game servers and anything that hits memory hard.
• DDR5 memory for higher bandwidth than previous generations.
• NVMe storage for fast boots, quick world loads and snappy databases.
• Always-on DDoS protection, with attacks reported in the Firewall page.

Why Frankfurt

Frankfurt sits at one of the busiest internet exchanges in the world. Deploying there can shave meaningful milliseconds off the route for users in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland and much of central Europe.

Tip: Not sure which location is best? Ask a few of your users to run ping to a server in each location and pick the one with the lowest average. Real numbers from your audience beat any map.

Plus VDS is a strong fit for:

Moving an existing server

Already running a Plus VDS in Amsterdam and want to move? Location changes need new hardware, so the flow is:

1. Order the new Plus VDS in Frankfurt.
2. Copy your data across, for example with rsync:

rsync -avz --progress /srv/ root@new-server-ip:/srv/

1. Update your DNS records to the new IP and wait for them to propagate.
2. Cancel the old server from its Billing tab once everything is running.
